Nokia kicks some Angry Birds’ butt

April 5, 2012 at 1:00 by Tim Comments

Ever felt like giving those ‘Angry Birds’ a good kicking? Nokia’s line of ‘Amazing Everyday’ and their smartphone Lumia were recently promoted with an Augmented Reality Angry Birds Installation in Sydney where you could do just that.

It’s always nice to see engaging digital interactions in the real world.  Helped by the Xbox Kinect you could kick all the Angry Birds you liked. More fun was in the mix with a virtual dance off with Timomatic and a chance to lead a cute Kangaroo home. As you see in the video, an interactive mat filled with pressure sensors initiated the experience while the XBox Kinect system controlled the actual experience.
