Next Gen Salespeople are Robots
I am not sure that I am into it, but the startup denim retailer Hointer clearly sees something in replacing salespeople with robots. This is the deal: there is a store, but there’s no one working in it. No one human, that is.
When customers enter the Hointer store, they can browse the isles, just like in any other store. Once they find something they like, they can scan the QR code attached to the item of their choice, pick their size in the app, and go straight to the fitting room where the selected item is waiting for them. If they decide to purchase the item, they just put them in the bag and checkout by swiping their credit card at the station.
The future of shopping experience or a turn in a totally wrong direction?
