Cingular Wireless is launching a system to vote All American Football Players via text messaging. WirelessWeek.com reports the news, saying that the voting campaign will be open to subscribers from all other wireless networks.

Cingular believes SMS messages are becoming more and more strategic for its business, given the fact that in the first six months of the year, 2.7 billion text messages were sent over the its network.
