Red Stripe: Street Art at shutter speed

Red Stripe’s “Make Art On The Street” released this animation of a special piece of street art. Scottish artist Spaceboy, helped by his graphic students from Edinburgh College of Art, animated his paste-ups on the shop shutters of Newhaven Harbour. It is a nice animation in itself, capturing and recording each frame of the paper installation. But what I really like about the film is that the interview with Spaceboy (talking in his heavy Scottish accent) is actually woven into the dubby Jamaican soundtrack. Ah sey one! Read more…

The EVOC Indestructible Billboard

Outdoor sport brand EVOC wanted to highlight the protective nature of their backpacks. Publicis Munich created an “Indestructible Billboard” where people could experience the shock absorbing effect of EVOC’s backpack. As the billboard was also connected to Facebook, the people test-punching the backpack were photographed and uploaded to the brand’s facebook page.

Kraft Mac & Cheese Likeapella

Via our old friend Tom Markham. Kraft Mac & Cheese on Friday rolled out a special thanks for Facebook fans — a nearly seven-minute song that namechecks people who “liked” a post from the brand earlier this week.

The brand enlisted the help of the YellowJackets, an a capella group, to thank all the 4,800 fans who “liked” the post on Tuesday. The post set a “like” record for the brand. Read more…

Street Art Robot by Chevy Sonic

Under the motto ‘Let’s Do This’ Chevrolet collaborated with mural artist Jeff Soto. Jeff created a graffiti piece aided by a Chevy Sonic equipped with spray guns and robotic high-tech wizardry. But rather than the car I now want one of these bad-ass paint rocket launchers!

Smart Argentina: a car inside Twitter

A smart one, for Smart in Argentina. Using tweets as animation frames, and asking people to scroll down their Twitter page, Smart showed their car fits in every tiny space, even in a Twitter timeline.
