Cyberlions: what do you think?

on June 23, 2008 by Martina comments

Winners are out. Uniqclock project by Projector and the Sol Comments project (first unveiled to the world right here on Adverblog!) and Year Zero won the Cyberlion.

What is your feeling about the winners? Do you believe any good project has been left behind? Do you think a project has been overrated? Personally, I think that Uniqlock and Sol were just great and absolutely deserved the Grand Prix. But then, from a purely marketing perspective I think that Waitless and Drive-In game deserved more than the Bronze Lion, while Absolut Machines (gold) and Get Out and Play (silver) were not as good as the jury decided. And you, what do you think?

Ok the Cannes Cyber shortlist is out. Who’s going to win the Grand Prix this year? Got milk tonight or need to fight for a kiss before bed, just remember I have 3 halos while walking around my Ikea kitchen but you may want to Simpsonize me if I am wrong. What do you think?? Maybe a Stella to think about it all… or not.

Last Friday the Australian Interactive Awards were held and HOST won the Best of the Best. It was a great site that allowed users to message friends/siblings in Oz to go home for a visit. The site integrated with outdoor billboards where New Zealander’s live in Oz.

The Showdown Interactive

on March 3, 2008 by Daniel comments

Sorry, this one is one of us, but I have to talk about it as we’ve spent so much time working on this lately…

Last year, One Show asked us to develop the image for their Interactive competition in 2008. As you may know, fighters have replaced Mariachis as the new mexican cliche and we tried to create a game with some mexican flavor, a bit nasty and that served as a place of reunion for designers, developers, creatives, art directors, etc. trying to have some fun and blood.

I’ve won the Cannes Grand Prix!!

on June 21, 2007 by Martina comments

Yes, yes, yes, we have won! Today is one of the happiest days in my career, the Cannes Grand Prix, the Cyberlion, I can’t believe it!! Having been the project manager of this incredibly crazy idea, i’m so proud of having worked with the Farfar team and my wonderful colleagues in Diesel (Miguel, Lucinda, Giulia, Richard and Marc) to create an experience that has been so challenging, but most of all so funny to live. It’s a kind of magic, wow! You can watch a recap of the Heidies here.

Let the games begin…

on June 18, 2007 by Mark comments

Cannes has begun for this year. So what are your choices for the gold Cyber’s? My guess is that this year a Cyber choice will be the Best of Show. Given the surge within our industry towards interactive and digital the judges (and the whole event itself) can’t be seen as “old school”. Well it’s just my opinion…
