Your line of fans

on January 6, 2010 by Daniel comments

This one is a one from us that we did last autumn for Rexona Teens, a deodorant for teenagers that, being always the same product, changes its tagline every year, “Dance and teens”, “Love and teens” or, in this case “Fans and teens”. To support this last one we created a little promo using a Facebook app called “Your line of fans”, that allows you to show if you’re a better fan than others, and you’re required to create the longest line to support your favorite artist, inviting your friends to be formed in your line (and then the friends of your friends), so you could use the line to try it to be the longest and also to meet new friends that share with you the same interest in that artist. In the end, the longest line (whoever the artist is) could get some tickets to attend some shows from that artist (looks like Jonas Brothers rule for teens) Here’s a little video explaining the project:

Mistery of the tree

on January 5, 2010 by Daniel comments

13 Rue del Percebe (13, Barnacle Street) (an example here) has been one of the most traditional examples of surreal humor in Spain for ages. Following that kind of humor, Orange Spain released an interesting project (done by Binaria) last Christmas called “El misterio del arbol” (“Mistery of the tree”), a series of animated episodes where some characters living in the same neighborhood have to find out who has stolen the Christmas tree.

Robinsons Drinks is one of the most famous juice brands in the UK, and now they’re looking for a star making auditions all over the place. This website, “Put on a panto”, is a fantastic place to start your rehearsing, with beautiful content and animations done by Pirata London for BBH London.

Lufthansa “My Sky Status”

on October 11, 2009 by Daniel comments

MySkyStatus is a fine website-app by Profero NY that sends altitude, location, departure and arrival updates to your FB or Twitter account from the different flights you choose (in any airline). Ideal for those people who have to pick other people up at airports. Wouldn’t be nice a mobile app for this?

Asylum 626

on September 22, 2009 by Daniel comments

A year after the Hotel 626, Goodby and B-Reel team up again taking you to a scary asylum called Asylum626. With a similar quality of production but much less playable than the year before, it’s more of a visual experience than a game, apparently i need a Doritos bag to finish playing, somebody help me? Or you can save me either (via Tasty Truth)

Placebo and the music videos industry

on August 31, 2009 by Daniel comments

Being a band, there was a time when you needed MTV for broadcasting your music videos, because MTV was the place where everybody went to see videos. But a couple of years ago, a lot of bands started a new trend that consisted on creating “interactive” pieces, knowing that when you have fans they’ll follow you every place you are, MTV or… your own website.

Vimto’s “High dive”

on August 14, 2009 by Daniel comments

I laughed out loud when these suicidal fruits smashed against the floor to finish their jump in one of the levels of this “advergame” called “High dive” done for Vimto. It could probably be better art directed but i liked that is funny and makes you play with that blending concept behind the “seriously mixed up fruit” motto. (developed at Matmi)

Dunkin’ Run: be a hero through donuts

on August 11, 2009 by Daniel comments

In this new era of applications, Dunkin’ Donuts released a really cool one called “Dunkin’ Run”. Probably you know how complicated is ordering coffe for a group of people in an organized way. Using this app, you can become a “runner” while they fill what they want and then get yours and your friend’s goods from the general Dunkin’ Donuts menu, you can see a little video explaining how it works. What appears interesting to me (besides the obvious use) is the way in which the application spreads, not only by using or because someone recommended, but also by ordering something when a friend of yours is the runner and asks you if you want him to pick some coffee for you.

The man who motivated Michael Jordan

on June 1, 2009 by Daniel comments

According to the records, Leroy Smith was the kid that took the last spot for the varsity basketball team at Emsley A. Laney High School, leaving Michael Jordan out and being this the fact always said as the beginning of the Michael Jordan’s basketball legend from then on. Taken this as the core idea, this website called “Leroy Smith” tries to honor the name of Leroy as Jordan’s first motivator.

Puma Lift

on April 17, 2009 by Daniel comments

For the launching of the new and ultralight Puma Lift shoe, Droga5 teamed up with the whizs at Firstbon Multimedia for the online side of the campaign: this website that recreates a virtual fulcrum. I’m a long time fan of Firstborn’s work, even since the days of the old Yigal Azrouel or Madonna’s Music websites. Years later, they also have a strong basketball team and, besides of that, they remain really humble even when they’re one of the hottest and most talented digital shops out there.

The website itself is really simple, as it uses an idea from Droga 5 based on the main attribute of the shoe, its minimum weight, so you can test the weights of different things compared to the shoe and you quickly get the idea on how light it is.
