Intel & the House of Flying Laptops

1 day ago by Martina comments

This post if for the fans of big productions, and I know we are quite a few out there. Directed by Daniel Kleinman, the man behind several title sequences in James Bond movies, the new Intel global campaign make “everything else seems old-fashioned”. A spaghetti western and a Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon style TVC prove once again that Intel, despite behind a product behind a product, is a pretty cool brand who works hard to keep such coolness alive & kicky. Video of the day: It’s a hard life

2 weeks ago by Martina comments

You don’t necessarily have to be didactic (or worse, boring) if you’re asked to promote a product that is not fancy at all. Beautifully shot and enriched by a perfect soundtrack, this commercial is definitely worth watching. Nothing more to add, don’t wanna spoil the experience… Just watch it!

Axe: new generation boyfriends

on March 29, 2012 by Martina comments

I love the new global campaign for Axe Shower Gel created by BBH London. For once the usual sexist Axe approach (which, to be honest, sometimes I do find amusing) is replaced by the “celebration” of a new generation of boyfriends willing to do anything to please their girlfriends and conquer their hearts (yes, I’m being sarcastic). Of course the girls are portrayed in a stereotyped and extreme way (basically they are all rather bitchy in their own way) but I still think that, in the end the sense of humor in the five commercials prevails, and gives justice more to nowadays’ strong personality girls than to the Axe men.

As part of Sony’s global brand campaign Make.Believe, Japanese creative lab Party has created a pretty awesome TV commercial taken in one, continuous shot. The way the Internet should be

on March 8, 2012 by Martina comments

No long-term contracts, no data usage limits. This is the way the Internet should be. And these TV commercials for Clear, a 4G internet service provider in the USA, support the case in a pretty funny way. FYI The Magician is my favorite. Read more…

The Guardian & the Three Little Pigs

on March 5, 2012 by Martina comments

British newspaper The Guardian is out with a major campaign to promote the concept of open journalism across media. The point of view chosen to deliver the message is absolutely surprising and fantastic. BBH London created an ad based on the Three Little Pigs, envisioning how the paper would cover the story of the pigs’ arrest for killing the Big Bad Wolf. Read more…
