Tilt-shift weirdness. Uniqlo have a new weather calendar site the tells you the weather where you are in tilt-shift miniature. Kinda weird and kinda cool. I’m not sure what to make of it but I liked it and I don’t know why Maybe if it pulled tilt-shift images from instagram for each city would have been cooler? Read more…

UNIQLO “Clothes for Smiles” new CSR initiative

Uniqlo launched a new CSR initiative called “Clothes for Smiles with professional tennis player Novak Djokovic and UNICEF. Through this initiative, the company will establish $10 million fund and use it to bring smiles to kids all over the world, nurturing their dreams and giving them the tools to build a better and brighter future. The fund will be established from the sale of HEATTECH and Ultra Light Down items during the 2012 fall/winter season. Read more…

UNIQLO – Lucky Cube with Maru

Play lucky cube with Maru. Smart idea from UNIQLO to get people talking about the launch of the new San Francisco store opening in October.  I’m not sure which I love more… the incredibly simple but great idea to use a quirky online game to drive traffic to the new flagship store (prize collection is at the new store) — or the fact that they have partnered with a YouTUBE star (cat) called Maru.

UNIQLO Pinterest “Dry Mesh Project”

This is my first digital marketing project since I joined Uniqlo. I am a bit embarrased to share my project with you…

Uniqlo and NYC based Firstborn team up for a project that owns Pinterest. To wake Pinterest users from a scrolling slumber, Uniqlo created 100 separate shell Pinterest accounts that pinned images simultaneously. As users scrolled down their favorite categories, they came across all the images, which combined to create giant mosaics that “animated” when scrolled through. Read more…

Uniqlo Wake Up Social App

Uniqlo have created an app in conjunction with Japanese composer Cornelius that creates a unique way to wake up in the morning. The app automatically creates a song that contains current time, weather and day of the week. Users can choose to share a record of the time, weather and temperature at the exact moment the alarm was stopped via social media. Read more…

Uniqlo Innovation Project

Uniqlo New York City Voices

From fashion brand Uniqlo comes another beauty in terms of interface, design and atmospheric soundscape, this one spreading the word about the opening of their Manhattan flagship stores. “NYC voices” are charming portraits of 13 creative, influential and socially active New Yorkers, telling us about their work and life in the city. Rather than bleating about the shops themselves, the brand politely pays tribute to the city it is about to become part of – very Japanese I must say. Read more…
