Hello Moto, 3G is here!

OgilvyInteractive Paris just lunched this campaign for Motorola EMEA with a dual-site operation (first click here and then click on the “3G is Here” promo at the bottom right of the page).
The splash page allows users to self-select their target groups: either knowledgeable of 3G and eager to get started or among those who know little to nothing about 3rd Generation Mobile Technology. Upon self-selecting, users are taken to one of two campaign sites.

Eager users are dropped into an immersive experience that reinforces the benefits of 3G and allows users to interact with various elements of the 3G experience. There’s also a competition that asks users to come up with their own Motorola HERE! campaign executions, the winner taking home a brand new Motorola 3G phone. To encourage participation, voters select the winner, and every registered voter also has the chance to win a popular Motorola Bluetooth headset.
Those who haven’t tuned into the 3G buzz in the UK over the past year or two are in luck nonetheless, because on the second site, a charming lad named John plays the perfect video host in bringing uninitiated users through the 3G experience and its benefits. Not to be left out, these users also have the opportunity to participate in a quiz, with a randomly selected perfect score winning a Motorola 3G handset.
Paul English, Executive Director at OgilvyInteractive Worldwide Paris explains us:

“We really like this project because we did it, of course ;-) . But also because we think we achieved a great balance of immersive online experience, with offline user interaction that’s totally aligned to that experience, while giving the excellent Motorola 3G products their due without being a hyper-product-focused site. We also like the exceptional production value on this particular project.
