Move over Farmville, here’s Glitch

September 28, 2011 at 12:23 by Tim Comments

Glitch is a free social game, in which playing with your friends, learning and collaborating looks like a whole lot of whacky fun. Watch the cool trailer with its trippy soundtrack and then head over to the site.
What gives Glitch ubergeek-cred is that Flickr co-founder Stewart Butterfield is one of its creators. If you liked his hilarious resignation letter to Flickr, you can be sure to like the tone and style of Glitch.

Using a variety of well designed scenarios, it is also built with flexibility and a daily push of new content — new items, places, characters — in mind. And they promise a whole lot of APIs with which the game can be expanded and extended.

So go on, put your Farmville hoe down and play a little bit inside these giants’ heads at Glitch. As the whole world seems to rush in at the moment, be prepared to wait a day for an invite.
