Maurice Lévy’s remote control greeting #TheVeryGoodWishes

December 16, 2014 at 10:07 by Bridget Comments

Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Lèvy is back again with another interactive holiday greeting on youtube www.publicisgroupewishes2015.com created by Lost Boys Paris.  For the last couple of years Mr.Lévy has used some clever creative tech to transform a corporate speech into an innovative and engaging experience.  This year is no exception, with a YouTube first that allows viewers to control the video on their desktop with a smartphone or tablet as the joystick.

By syncing a device to “The Very Good Wishes”, viewers gain control of a carnival claw swinging around Mr. Lévy’s office as he gives his speech thanks to accelerometer feature on the device. The aim of the game is simple –  agilely trap the stuffed animals around his office, helping Mr. Lévy wrap them up.

In addition to the mass of toy lions (over 1000) dumped on his desk, there are hidden surprises in Mr.Lèvy’s office that people can try to catch.  The claw can even provoke a storm scene that messes up Maurice Lèvy’s always-perfect-hair.

The experience is hooked up to the Make-A-Wish® foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in nearly 50 countries around the world. Publicis Groupe is matching any personal donation made by an employee of the Groupe.

You can see a demo here, but I would recommend trying it out for yourself to test out the remote control claw.

We’ve already written about the other interactive greetings - you can see the 2013 version here : The Human Youtube Player and the 2014 greeting here : The More the Merrier.
