Ringtone yourself

From Brazil, a very interesting and entertaining website created by Gringo for Coca-Cola Zero and Nokia.

The mechanism is pretty straightforward: turn on your microphone and sing, shout, do whatever you feel like with your voice. The sound will be recorded and it will become the base to create your own, personalized ringtone. And when I say "your" I really mean it.

Once you have your voice recorded you can then work with the mixer to increase the FX, add an echo or simply speed up the rhythm. When you are finished the rudimental sound you might have produced is converted in ringtone format and can be installed on your mobile or shared with a friend.

Have fun, give it a try! Impress (or scare) your girlfriend of boyfriend :-)

Very impressive marketing approch! site is truly interactive and this is a sure hit. More companies should think of NEW ways to make their products get noticed, this is a good example.... other companies shouldn't just copy or recycle what's already been done. Also, aside from the site being interactive, it also has a value to the site visitor by turning their recorded & edited recording into a ringtone. How neat is that?! Kudos to the advertisers and Gringo!

Looks like real fun indeed, but why is it an action for Nokia and Coke Zero, and not for Nokia alone? Didn't Nokia have enough budget? I don't really see the link with Coke Zero...
