A special heart for Valentine’s Day

The British Heart Foundation has launched an online campaign to rais money in order to pay 30 new specialist nurses who will help over 10,000 peoplea year. As Revolution reports, there is a dedicated microsite which presents real-life stories about patients and BHF Heart nurses and of course gives people the chance to make a donation. The site also allows visitors to send anonymous Valentine’s notes and to enter a draw to win an holiday in Australia.

Blogs for smokers (willing to quit)

The British Heart Foundation is online again with another anti-smoking campaign. The ads, featuring the message “give up before you clog” as well as a dedicated web site, have been developed by DNA. BHF’s site gives users the possibility to keep their own weblog to tell people about their experience trying to quit smoking. Smokers wanting to stop, can also sign up to receive free email and SMS reminders to keep the motivation high.

Anti-smoking campaign for kids

Craik Jones Digital has developed an online campaign on the account of the British Heart Foundation in order to prevent teenagers from starting smoking. Brand Republic explains there are two micro websites targeting teens and under 11. Given the target, the two web sites are developed in an advertainment style. They offer “serious” content as well as competitions and an advergame featuring a cartoon character, “Artie Beat”.
