Vodafone UK: If i ruled the world

ruleworld1.jpg

In this new campaign for Vodafone UK, Dare Digital created a little short film that only lives in Facebook so you have to go there to see and/or comment. Up to date, the video has over a thousand comments from people saying what they would do, which is remarkable (and really brave on the side of the brand) because it shifts the attention from the traditional medium for this kind of things (TV, and re-edited into a 20" format) and carries all the people to an online content.

There have been several, the James Brown one ends with him pushing the last note very sharp and is awful (and I'm a JB fan!) I just watched a new one which seemed to feature lots of different versions in different keys stitched together over a backing track firmly in just the one key!! Which Planet does that work on?? Somebody needs shooting for that awful decision. I'm a musician but this is not just nitpicking, when compared to a truly great series of ads like compare the meerkats it just makes it all the more disastrous!
