Here come the mummies

From Canada, an interesting project that tries to digitally recreate the fascinating ancient Egyptian culture.

The goal of the website is to attract people to an exhibition dedicated to Egyptian mummies currently being help in Quebec City.

The idea is good and quite well developed at first sight. However, in my opinion, the interactive pieces (you can't call them advergames) make the experience appealing to the younger audiences while they disappoint the adults (like myself). In the end, for such a rich culture like the Egyptian was, the communication approach results a bit too simplicistic, but it's a good try and it shows art can also benefit from online marketing.

The agency is OK!interactif. via The FWA.
