Online, against alcohol consumption

November 22, 2005 at 9:57 by Martina Comments

From Sweden, Dear Mr Barroso, one of the best examples I’ve ever seen of interactive online storytelling. It’s a video animation featuring an open letter from the Swedish Alcohol Retail Monopoly to Mr Barros, the EU President, to act in order to reduce alcohol consumption throughout Europe.

The site has been produced by Forsman & Bodenfors, B-Reel, Efti and it’s an extremely powerful example of what you can do online to promote an idea, not just a product or a brand.

I have to disagree with you on this post. There is nothing interactive in putting an animated movie on the Internet. Its just an example on how to broadcast a linear story on the Internet instead of on TV. The storyline on this case has an end and a beginning. There is no interaction there. At least I didn’t find any.
One can discuss whether or not this is profitable, and that is in my view the only relevant discussion regarding this case.

Yes Anders, you are right, I used the word “interactive” in the wrong way. There is no interaction, I will correct the entry.

I think they made a great work combining the movie part with the interactive end part. Very smooth and seamless.
