Blogging from Amsterdam

September 5, 2005 at 4:33 by Martina Comments

Hello readers, just a brief, personal message to let you know I’m now blogging from Amsterdam. I’ve recently joined the digital agency LaComunidad. I still haven’t an Internet connection at home (apparently it takes weeks here in The Netherlands…) so I will not be able to write the usual amount of posts. Anyway, the blog will be updated daily, and news suggestions are always welcome.

Greetings out of Singapore from “een Amsterdammer”.
I attended a lecture at INSEAD about globalization, and the awarded professor claimed that, just because McDonalds is everywhere, the world is not becoming a global village. His type of arguments: “Chinese restaurants are everywhere too, but did that make us more Chinese”
Increased travel and internet do facilitate cultural exchange though.
It’d be interesting to see whether now that you’re in Amsterdam, kling on to your original country values even stronger, or, start embracing some of the Dutch mentality…
    Keep us in the loop…
    And enjoy beautiful Amsterdam!
