Samsung: Follow your INSTINCT

Samsung just launched an online campaign to promote the supposed iPhone killer, the Samsung Instinct. First there is a campaign website including a fun product placement programm. But more innovative is the interactive short movie ‘Follow Your INSTINCT’, which can be watched on YouTube only. The movies are connected through YouTube annotations, which makes it the first commercial use of annotations I’ve seen so far. Pretty cool, simple and interactive.

  1. I haven’t ever seen commercial use of YouTube annotations either, however the number of views are still very low after a week. Do you know anything more about how they promote the YouTube channel?

    Very nice. I am wondering if these annotations could work eventually on mobile. Or, since that may require flash lite, maybe they could even have one of the selections tie into real time social by launching into a or communities
