Your Facebook, your MoMA experience

Super brilliant website launched by the MoMA in New York to help visitors planning their visits at the museum.

Your preferences, your lifestyle, your tastes, it’s all written in your Facebook, right? Summer at MoMA connects to your Facebook profile, scans it, analyses it and matches your preferences in the social network with the experiences currently offered at the museum.

In less than a minute you receive personalized reccomendations on the stuff you shouldn’t miss which of course you can share on Facebook itself or on Twitter. You can save your customized visit plan and add or remove parts to refine it.

I’m amazed by Summer at MoMA it is so simple yet so smart and well done. If there is a place that contains (almost) everything about you, why should you bother typing in information manually?

I don’t know the agency behind the project, would be great if someone could leave a comment with the info. Thanks.

    Gupta media? http://www.guptamedia.com/
It has a “Created by Gupta Media” at the footer.

Interesting to see, that your blog post from yesterday about Harry Potter tweets didn’t sound as enthusiastic as this one. I think both projects are great. But regarding data privacy, MOMA would be even much more dangerous to me than casting spells via twitter: It actually scans and processes your data. And maybe all data will be stored so that statistics could be generated.

This is a great use of Facebook and it is wonderful to see agencies employing an open web style approach. I’ve just done a search and I believe the agency responsible here is called Gupta Media. Creativity Online cover this story as well http://creativity-online.com/work/view?seed=d9b239d3
