Toyota’s Social Network Racer

Japan’s hot shop ‘Party’ have launched a racing game that uses your social content as billboards along the track. It is an awesome execution with real game play value and an eerie distraction through the familiar photos whizzing past. Win the overall race and you could go to Japan, to see Toyota’s new sports car FT-86 unveiled.

Party has upped the ante in terms of Facebook social gaming with this piece, the ‘Social Network Racer‘ raising awareness for Toyota’s re-entry into sports car territory.

Party has digitally impressed in the past. Not only have their founders garnered internet fame through e.g. Uniqlo’s ‘Lucky Switch’ and Nike’s ‘Music Shoe’ at other agencies. They also recently┬áreleased the back seat gaming for kids as ‘Toy Toyota‘, the ‘Moon Jump app‘ and brought Japanese band Androp’s music to life through nerd extravagenzas ‘Bell‘ and Bright Siren. This Party really seems to take off.
