TED goes back to the future
Nice viral marketing forÂ Prometheus, Ridley Scottâ€™s Alien prequel. Â I’m not a big sci-fi fan but I find it interesting that TED has become uber-mainstream and can now be used as a viral teaser for a blockbuster film.
You can read the full postÂ here but screen writerÂ Damon Lindelof thought it would be incredibly cool to have one of the characters from the film give a TEDTalk from the future.
It’s unusual to see TED move into the brand content space and feature this special TED (2023) talk – but, it works for me. Â It works for the brand (in this case a film) but also stays true to the content creator (TED) values.
