The ant and the grasshopper fable by Aesop gets rivisited by Nike. An unusual yet lovely way to tell the Nikefootball message. Being worth wearing Brazil's #9 shirt is not a fairy tale.
Great work by my friend Adam and his team. The agency is F/Nazca, while the production company is BigBonsai.
Heineken keeps walking on it's viral success of the Walk In Fridge commercial. Earlier we saw the 'user generated' spoof, and now they made an official follow up called Walking Fridge. Again, not as good as the original, but it will make you smile on this lazy Friday afternoon.
Just over a month ago, Adidas released their kick-ass Celebrate Originality "House Party" spot. This video included celebrity stars like David Beckham, Katy Perry, Kevin Garnett, Missy Elliott, and Mark Gonzales. UK television channel Sky 1 now made a hilarious parody to promote The Simpsons. Featuring celebrity stars like Homer, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Marge..
Dutch beer brand Bavaria just launched a commercial that leaves no mistake. It's a direct, professional and fun spoof on the popular Walk In Fridge commercial from competitor Heineken, which was released late December 2008. I bet this will be continued..
Cadburry is getting famous for its weird but striking commercials. I'm sure y'all remember the Gorilla ad, and maybe even the trucks commercial. All on courtesy of A Glass And A Half Full productions. Just released is the follow up called Eyebrow Dance - which is pretty much what is is. But it's good!
It's been a while since we've last seen a proper Heineken commercial. A shame, since their ads had been grown out to a real trademark over the years. But with the just released spot below, aimed at the Dutch market, they seem to be back on front.
Advertiser: Unilever
Brand: Rexona
Advertising Agency: VegaOlmosPonce, Buenos Aries
Director: Nico & Martin
Production Company: Primo, Buenos Aires
Post Production: Bitt Animation / Che Revolution Post
DoP: Cristian Cottet
Editor: Patricio Pena
I didn't find any Rexona website on this soap campaign. Tell us if you find any.
By looking for it, I came on the Argentine Rexona website for deodorant, and it proves to be very creative as well.
The Christmas ads have started and in Australia they have a website where you can purchase extreme gifts. I thought this ad was a good parody and a good laugh. Take a look.
It looks like pink (football) kicks are going to be hot this season. Just days after each other, both Nike and Puma started to promote the shiny colored shoes. Nike launched the cool Mercurial Vapor Rosa Pink Panther commercial with Bayern Munchen midfielder Franck Ribery.
It's been a while since we've last seen a new Sony Bravia commercial. But we've got news from New Zealand, where Domino City just got released. This commercial, in line with Balls, Paint and Bunnies, is showing domino stones falling throughout India. Nice, but not as impressive as the ones we saw before. Maybe because it's a local ad, just like Piramids, and executed by a different agency (BATES Singapore). You decide.
The iconic Levi's 501 denim is back with a global communication campaign dubbed "Unbuttoned" that on the Web takes two shapes: one for the US and one for Europe.
In North America the site launched already a few weeks ago and it features a series of celebrities "unbuttoning" themselves in front of the camera by telling something about their lives or simply acting spontaneously (or silly, if you want).
In Europe the campaign of course explores the same concept but it involves locally relevant people taken from several different countries. Once again I have a strong feeling of dejavu when I see artists, musicians or celebrities in general confessing themselves or simply telling a story in front of a camera. The concept of "unbuttoned" could offers to many entry points, I feel that, at least for now, they've chosen just the safest way.
