Dreamworks has partnered with Tiscali to promote the release on dvd of the movie “Shark Tale“. Digital Republic reports Tiscali will host an exclusive movie clip across its broadband service and promote the initiative via email.

The Bourne Supremacy’s mobile challenge

Universal Pictures is launching a mobile marketing campaign to promote the release on DVD of ‘The Bourne Supremacy’. Revolution Magazine says the campaign, run by Flytxt will invite people to join the five day “Do you have what it takes to be Bourne?” an sms based challenge. The campaign is starting this month in Australia, and will land in Europe early next year.

Van Helsing’s DVD promoted online

Interactive agency New Media Maze has developed an online advertising campaign to promote Universal Pictures’ movie Van Helsing, which will be soon released on DVD and video. As explained in the press release the campaign aims to drive pre-orders and sales online and in stores by reminding people of the excitement of the adventure. The creative will raise mass awareness of the special features and DVD extras of the Van Helsing movie. Michelle Byrne, Account Director at New Media Maze comments:

“A full webpage/screen advert has been created featuring high quality video, allowing us to use a large amount of space to create a high impact ad unit. The creative will feature the title’s key art, high quality video footage and incorporate the sexy �Brides of Frankenstein� imagery to maximise appeal to the male audience.”

Movie industry using the Web

Revolution Magazine reports Fox Kids Europe is launching a pan-European multimedia campaign to support the release of DreamWorks’ ‘Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas’ on DVD and video. At the same time, New Media Age says that Twentieth Century Fox is using a video rich-media banner to promote the cinema release of the director’s cut of horror classic Alien.
