The world’s hardest job

Very nice job by my Nikefootball colleagues in Brazil to celebrate Luis Fabiano and the Brazilian team who qualified for the World Cup next June in South Africa. The video is part of the Make the Difference campaign launched worldwide a few weeks ago.

The ant and the grasshopper fable by Aesop gets rivisited by Nike. An unusual yet lovely way to tell the Nikefootball message. Being worth wearing Brazil’s #9 shirt is not a fairy tale.

Pink is the new..

It looks like pink (football) kicks are going to be hot this season. Just days after each other, both Nike and Puma started to promote the shiny colored shoes. Nike launched the cool Mercurial Vapor Rosa Pink Panther commercial with Bayern Munchen midfielder Franck Ribery.

Introducing Fulvio Varnacano

I apologise if my latest work I’m posting about is for Italians only… One of the funniest shooting I’ve ever done, a video for Nike Live starring Fabio Cannavaro (yes, that’s him!).

A bit of background to let you understand the story: when Cannavaro was a kid, he used to be a ball-boy of Napoli when Maradona was playing there. Cannavaro grew up and became the great footballer we all know, while a friend of him decided to pursue a career as ball boy, becoming the best ball boy of the world. The creative idea is by Carlo Cavallone and Alvaro Sotomayor from W+K Amsterdam, who also directed the video and unveiled Fabio’s acting talent.
