Here’s something to sink your digital teeth into. Vodka brand ABSOLUT commissioned German artist Simon Schubert to create an artwork about purity. On Facebook, a few months ago you sacrified your friends for a burger. Now it’s time to get them back by offering them an icecream. Through the social network Starbucks is giving away 20,000 coupons for a free pint of icecream everyday.
A good example of coupon marketing 2.0 that might become pretty annoying if the things gets too popular among the wrong brands. I like the idea because I think it will work pretty well as a recruitment campaign for the Starbucks Fan page, and you know how important it is getting to be able to engage with consumers (in the right way) on their own pitch.

Video, animations, music and some interactivity to experience the Absolut brand, once again, in an innovative way.

Absolut Ads’ blog reports you can also download the Absolut Cross Stitching Pattern or Absolut Cut-Out in the shapes of snowflake, for the long winter nights (instead of drinking Vodka ClickZ reports the site is supported by online ads running sites like CitySearch, The Onion and About.com. The creativity is by TBWA\Chiat\Day.
The financial news Web site CBSMarketWatch.com has recently signed a deal with Absolut Vodka to lauch an “Happy Hour” ad campaign. The news is reported today on Adage which reveals that the parts have signed a one-year ad deal for Fridays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m, aimed at a weary audience counting down the hours to the end of the week.
