Ogilvyone Worldwide Singapore has recently launched a brilliant website to promote Britain abroad and drive floods of tourists to the island.
When you think about Britain, you usually think about The Queen, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Madame Taussauds and, of course, of fish & chips. Well this website will make you change your mind.
I had no idea of what XM Radio. And I’m still not sure of what XM Radio is after looking at the website they recently launched. Don’t get me wrong, the site is very nicely designed, the animations are lovely, and the interactivity is fun, but I find it a bit hard to understand the connection between the animals and the satellite radio.
I realize I will sound picky (but this is why you like me, right? but, in my opinion, the site lacks in concept, not in execution. Of course there are links around the site that allow you to discover the XM world, but they aren’t really in the context of the storytelling.
Explore the world of Sony Walkman from a completely different perspective. In Poland they just launched a great website that illustrates the past and the present of portable music with illustrations and animations.
It’s a must see even if you know from the beginning you aren’t going to understand a word The characters are lovely designed and animated, and even if almost everything is just black & white nothing results boring nor gloomy.
From Sweden, a nice interactive experience. Actually I didn’t understand a word since it’s all in Swedish, but being a curious clicker I managed to find a way through the site and realize how it works… But let’s proceed step by step… The site is for Ahlens, one of the most well known brands in Sweden and the leading retailer in homeware (I guess it’s an Ikea’s competitor). Click on “Till mysutmaningen” to begin.
Swedish agency Kokokaka surprises us once again with the new interactive experience developed for Nudie Jeans. It’s an innovative denim guide much more focused on fitting than the usual collection’s presentations. On the site you can meet Average Joe, Regular Alf, Bootcut Ola and their “friends” and discover how the Nudie Jeans models fit. Unfortunately, there is no e-commerce function attached, and it’s a pity, because the product exploration is so interesting and engaging that clicking and buying could be quite istinctive (and probably finding these denim in a retail store is not yet very easy). Discovered via Ventilate.
