La Caixa targets young users

Spanish Bank “La Caixa” is targeting its young customers with a mobile marketing initiative. In order to strenghten the relationship with over 940.000 people among 18 and 25 years old, La Caixa has launched “LKXA” (it’s the way mobile phone users will write La Caixa) a service which will deliver financial and banking information via SMS and email.

Mobile phones as a fashion statement

… for men. A new research by Idc found out that young adult males are more likely than females to purchase mobile phones as fashion statements. The study, “What Makes Mobile Users Tick? The Underlying Factors of Mobile Phone Usage and Purchase Criteria” also reveals a number of other corollaries about mobile phone users’ perceptions about their phones. For example, productivity and convenience benefits are paramount to more users compared to other fundamental benefits, such as safety and security or style and status.

3G users in France

The French Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has presented an overview of mobile users in the country. In April, more than 7.5 million unique users have visited Vodafone Live, i-mode TM and Orange World. The press release provides positive datas about the 3G’s usage trends, highlighting that mobile internet is growing rather fast.
