Intel is back again with the 4th season of the ‘Inside Films’ series. The latest social film is titled “What Lives Inside” and this time the collaboration is between Intel and Dell (rather than Intel and Toshiba). The agency behind it all is Pereira & O’Dell.
Founder and CEO Mr Charles Schwab, sorry Mr “Chuck” Schwab, will “star” in a series of online videos for the Schwab “On the side of the investor” campaign. Havas’ Euro RSCG New York has created seven video clips in which Mr Schwab promotes the use of financial services focusing, in particular, on ethical conduct and sound investments strategies. If the idea proves successful, more videos will follow. Adweek reports print advertising will also be part of the effort.
Next month ESPN will launch a new multimedia platform to offer clickable web video spots. The news was reported last week on AdWeek, explaining that advertisers will be able to embed links it the video, inviting users to click to get more information.
Pfizer has decided to extend its streaming video advertising campaign with MSN Video through the end of 2005. The news is reported on ClickZ, explaining that the decision has been taken after reading the results of a study conducted by Millward Brown, which claims that online video ads are as effective as tv spots. The article does not question Pfizer’s decision, which is legitimate, but the reason that has been provided to explain it. Online video ads might be effective, but probably they are not the most effective way for online branding.
