I think an agency has a good culture when it can lay stuff bare. Look back on the successes as well as the weird things that happened along the way. An example of this would be Barbarian Group. They are the creators of (amongst many other things) the legendary ‘Subservient Chicken” and have celebrated their first 10 years with this little online album.
The Barbarian Group has created an extremely simple but also very good advergame for Red Bull and its Flugtag. I like it a lot because it perfectly fits the Flugtag day concept. After playing it you will not say “wow! look how cool is this game” but rather “cool! this is what Flugtag is about!”. It’s a game which delivers a marketing message, and unfortunately even if advergames are now so popular, this is not so common. To find out what Flugtag is, click here.
Boston.com has launched “Snowplow Game” a catchy online feature to engage New Englanders. Players steer a snowplow through Boston after a blizzard, whizzing by popular city landmarks such as Fenway Park, the Citgo sign, and the John Hancock tower, in a quest to clear the streets and accumulate points, peppermints and snowflakes before time runs out. The top ten scorers will be ranked publicly on Boston.com, allowing players to compete for top honors. The competition, developed by Barbarian Group is part of the Boston.com “Get Wrapped” campaign, a local awareness and affinity-building promotion that will continue through the end of the year.
