The Truth About Smart

From the UK, a lovely piece of work by Agency Republic to promote the Mercedes-Benz Smart ForTwo. The truth about Smart is definitely a great example of interactive storytelling: simple, wit and even very informative.

The experience is divided in five chapters and the journey is accompained by a narrator that explains the car characteristics’ and engages users in humorous interactions. The navigation through the five videos is smooth, engaging and even relaxing I would say… In a way, I felt like I was watching a BBC documentary mixed with a light version of Little Britain.

Online campaign for the BBC

The BBC is about to launch its biggest ever online marketing campaign to promote its news site New Media Age explains the campaign will last six months and will target users across Europe and the United States. What is interesting is that the creative will take live RSS feeds from BBC news sites and link in with IM services such as ICQ and MSN Messenger. So if an important news comes out, it will immediately featured in the rich media ads. The campaign was developed by Agency Republic.

O2 pushes MMS in Ireland

Digital Bulletin reports 02 Ireland has launched an interactive campaign with a competition to promote MMS. The creative, by Agency Republic, invites user to give their own interpretation of a famous movie title, representing it with an digital mobile picture. MMS have to be sent to a shortcode in order to win a fabulous trip to Hollywood.

Viral push for O2′s Friends

Agency Republic (check out their site, the videos idea is great…) has created an interactive campaign to promote the O2′s “Friends” service. As Brand Republic explains, a viral push will be part of the initiative, with a quiz created to test how well their friends know each others.
